Welcome to CenFab
Our Story

CenFab was established in 2022, fulfilling a longtime dream of the founder and owner, Mr. Louis le Roux. As a qualified Orthotist & Prosthetist since 2001, with a particular interest in the fabrication of orthotic & prosthetic devices, it has always been Louis's dream to establish a central fabrication facility where orthotic & prosthetic devices would be manufactured for the industry in South Africa, with quality and affordability in mind.

With close to 23 years of experience in the orthotic and prosthetic industry, serving both as a clinician and in the manufacturing of these orthotic & prosthetic devices, Louis felt that it was time to realize his dream. Thus, he set in motion the establishment of a Central Fabrication Facility, giving birth to CenFab.

The primary purpose of this facility is to assist current and future clinical practices in the O&P industry in fabricating these orthotic & prosthetic devices of high quality at affordable prices for clinicians. This enables them to set a standard of excellence and focus on their practices without the concerns of having to work exceptionally long hours—firstly consulting and then having to fabricate the required devices for the day.

Another purpose of CenFab is to help clinicians negate the stress and financial burden of setting up a functional fabrication facility/LAB where they have to manufacture their devices.

CenFab's philosophy towards a balanced life, between work and family time, has motivated the establishment of such a facility. This creates the opportunity for clinicians to spend more time with their families without the burden of worrying about acquiring a quality and affordable product for their patients.

At CenFab, we strive to assist the industry by addressing the responsibility to fabricate quality and affordable products for clinicians and their patients. This is where our motto comes to life:

"Quality Matters."
